The Friends and Family Plan

Change happens most powerfully person to person – loved one to loved one. Many American Christians need help in order to stand with LGBT friends and families without leaving their faith behind. The Friends & Family Plan gives LGBT people and allies the support and expert data we need to help our conflicted Christian loved ones – as Christians – support LGBT equality. The Friends & Family Plan will help you to discuss issues of love, sexuality, and gender in Christian terms with your conflicted loved one. The Plan draws on Bible passages, insights to sway skeptical literalists, and gentle conversation strategies to ease the tension that may build during conversation.

The Gay Christian Network is a nonprofit ministry serving Christians who happen to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender, and those who care about them. This leading nation-wide ministry for gay Christians provides online forums for support, radio programs, speakers, conferences, a YouTube channel, and numerous other resources.

Inclusive Orthodoxy calls for the Church to extend its inclusivity upon the foundation of Christian orthodoxy, and to embrace the radical implications of the Gospel message, not despite Scripture and Tradition, but in light of it. The website has a special focus on the inclusion of LGBT people in the Christian community.

Soulforce is committed to relentless nonviolent resistance to bring freedom to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people from religious and political oppression. Soulforce works nation-wide through such programs as Equality Ride, which challenges colleges, especially Christian colleges, to welcome LGBT people. The website contains numerous resources for gay Christians.

This is the website of the Institute for Welcoming Resources (IWR), formed in 2002 by denominational representatives of the Welcoming Church Movement. Here you will find a multitude of resources to help your congregation become more welcoming and affirming of people regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Whosoever is an online magazine for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Christians. It provides a number of resources to help LGBT Christians grow in their relationship with God.
