GRITS (God Rocks In The Stream) Group

Interesting name for a group, right?  The idea arose from a comment a GIFT board member made in a planning meeting for the “Gay Christian? Yes!” Campaign: “I often feel like a rock standing against the current of anti-gay attitudes.”  Sure, our society is making great progress in the affirmation of LGBT people, but most of us still feel like rocks in the stream in at least some aspects of our lives.

But the good news is that we are not alone!  God is with us!  God loves us, affirms us, and stands with us in the stream.  GRITS is a group to remind us of that fact.

Are you an LGBT Christian or ally who feels unheard (at least some of the time) in your church, job, school, or family?  Have you decided to stay?  Would you like to feel the spiritual and emotional support of other LGBT Christians and allies?
